Asfendiyarov Kazakh National Medical University (KazNMU), established in 1930, is Kazakhstan's oldest and most prestigious medical institution, ranked #1 in the country for medical education. Named after the Kazakh physician Sanjar Asfendiyarov, the university has a long legacy of training physicians for Kazakhstan and the broader Central Asian region.
