About the University
Karnali Academy of Health Sciences (KAHS), established in 2016, is Nepal's most remote government medical institution, located in Jumla in the Karnali Province – one of the most mountainous and underserved regions of Nepal. Established under the Karnali Academy of Health Sciences Act to address severe physician shortages in remote Nepal, KAHS is listed in WDOMS and recognized by Nepal Medical Council and NMC India. It is particularly suited to students with an interest in community and primary healthcare.
